Woodborough is situated in a valley eight miles north east of Nottingham. In the past, it was known for its market gardening produce, orchards and roses, the latter of which are still grown in the area today.

The village has had a history of horticultural events throughout the decades but the present Society was inaugurated in 1977. It exists to further the interests of gardeners so if you are interested in gardening, growing flowers, fruit and vegetables, learning new ideas, going on trips and exchanging tips with other like-minded souls, you are welcome to join us.
